This class is a great opportunity both for pros and beginners to learn more about oil pastels. Oil pastels are a great medium to transfer your feelings and emotions from oil pastel stick to the paper. They are clean, easy to work with, colorful, and long-lasting. This class is a refreshing discovery of the unique medium. 

You’ll learn:

• How to use oil pastels safely;

• What tools & materials to use;

• The best oil pastel techniques;

• How to change color value;

• How to draw a pear using oil pastels.

This class is especially great for beginners who always wanted to discover new unique mediums. You don’t need much to take this class: simply oil pastels and paper will do! 

COFFEE PAINTING

Painting with instant coffee is a blast! If you're ever wanted to learn, now's your chance! No previous painting experience is necessary, but if you already have experience in watercolors, it'll be extra easy! In fact, coffee painting is much easier than watercolors because we can easily erase our mistakes even once our paintings are fully dry!
In this class we'll go over supplies, the basics, tons of fun techniques, more advanced techniques, and then we'll put it all together in three step by step mini illustrations that you can follow along with and make your own unique coffee masterpieces!
So, make yourself a nice hot cup of coffee, and let's paint! :)

FABRIC PAINTING - CUSHIONS

In this 2 day class, you'll learn the basics of fabric painting.  Topics covered in this class include:

• Best types of fabrics to use

• How to trace your design onto fabric

• How to apply textile paint

• How to embellish your design with metallic color

• How to heat set your completed design

For your class project, you will download the patterns provided for the cushions, watch each lesson and then put into practice what you just learned. By the end of this class, you’ll have a set of fabric painted designer cushions to add to your project portfolio.  

This class is intended for beginners who want to learn the basics of painting on fabric. 

WORKING WITH WATER COLOURS

January 5 - June 13, 2026

Would you like to learn to paint with more colour and freedom? This is a beginners guide to contemporary watercolour. We start from square one and build your skills and confidence towards painting botanical specimen from observation. The workshop is essentially broken down into accessible, bite size pieces ready for you to devour.

Working through a series of technique based exercises and tips to help get the paint to move on the page, how to hold you brush, manage water control, relax into the process and so much more.

The workshop not only delves into what materials and how to work them, but why as well. Understanding why certain things are used over others can better inform you as an artist and your own choices. Discover and play with the medium first. Find your feet in it and tailor your materials accordingly.

You will be encouraged to find your own creative voice. Your choices, your interpretation, your eye will all inform how your work will turn out.

Outcomes:

• A fundamental skill set in watercolour

• An understanding of watercolour as a medium and other necessary materials

• Confidence in approaching painting from observation

• A final project - a botanical watercolour painting

LIPPAN KAAM - THE MUD & MIRROR ART OF GUJARAT

Lippan or the Mud and Mirror work as its commonly known is one of the oldest crafts of the Kutch region. Lippan Kaam  is the traditional mural craft of Kutch that can be traced back to centuries when this craft was used to strengthen mud houses for prevention against natural calamities.

This craft is being recreated with contemporary materials in this class. The modern influence has introduced a new form that ensures longevity of this extraordinary mud art.
